I’m William & for my 12th birthday I got a balloon twisting kit. I really enjoyed the experience of making a balloon dog… then a bird… and more. I watched lots of balloon twisting tutorials on YouTube to learn different techniques.
My Dad suggested that I should talk to my school teachers & I went and gave a balloon twisting lesson to the Year 1 kids. It was a great feeling to see how happy the younger kids were to get a balloon dog.
My Mum then suggested that a good school holiday project would be to think about whether balloon twisting could be turned into a business (to pay for the balloons I was buying) - and The Balloon Kid was born! I got to work making a sign (my logo is a photo of balloons I twisted & stuck to one of our walls!) & my Mum posted about it on our local Facebook page. It only took a couple of hours for our first booking to be made!
